Teutopolis village board members have agreed to seek grant funds for infrastructure improvements.
The plan is to replace cast iron water lines in a large part of the village. The Village is seeking $750,000 in grant monies, with the pledge to cover 25% of the project cost, about $200,000 in local funds.
The Board also appropriated $60,000 in motor fuel tax funds to replace a box culvert on Oak Street and for related work on the street.
Board members also passed a fiscal year appropriations ordinance for the coming year. The measure totals $6,503,800, about the same as last year other than accounting for the grant funds being sought.
