The storm system that has plagued our listening area hasn't given up without a fight.

The area remained under a Flood Warning until 9:30am Saturday, but the bulk of the rainfall has finally left us.

Lake Sara remains closed due to high water and floating debris.

Severe weather was seen south of Effingham Friday evening. The Richland County Sheriff's Department confirmed a report of a tornado visiting the parking lot of Walmart in Olney around 5pm. The store was not damaged, but the sheriff's department reported the tornado touched down more than once, moving some carts around in the parking lot and into vehicles.

We've reminded you of flood conditions, even in areas where flooding is not typically seen. One such case was in Clay County, where the roads and the drive into Clay County Hospital at Flora were flooded for more than an hour Friday evening. At one point, hospital offiicials asked the public to go to Floyd Henson Junior High School across from the hospital and flag an ER person or representative from the hospital. The flooding subsided and the roads re-opened by about 8:30pm.

We are actually expected to see some sunshine today, but there is another 30% chance of shower and thunderstorm activity tonight and on Sunday.
