2015 Taste of Freedom Event Set for Friday Night

The 2015 "Taste of Freedom" event is set for Friday evening in downtown Effingham.

The event is sponsored by the Effingham Central Business Group, an affiliate of the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce, with activities planned from 5-8:30pm.

Activities will include food, after hours shopping, and live music. There will be an obstacle fitness challenge and a "Taste of Freedom" Cruise-In. The cruise-in will feature special interest car displays, and you can enter your dream car or motorcycle for special parking. Entry is free, and you can register at the event.

There will also be vendor booths available along the sidewalks downtown.

Proceeds from Friday night's event will be donated to Helen Matthes Library and to the Effingham County Veterans Memorial.
