The 2015 Illinois High School Rodeo Association State Finals Parade is scheduled for Wednesday, June 17.

The parade will follow the traditional parade route; south on Maple past the hospital to Jefferson Avenue, and then east on Jefferson into downtown Effingham. The parade will step off at 6:30pm. This year's rodeo parade theme is "80's Rock 'n' Roll".

The parade will be a part of various rodeo kickoff activities. Those will include a barbecue cookout on the lawn of the Courthouse Museum downtown from 5-8pm; return of the gunslingers at 6:15pm; pony rides; and live music by "Big Spike Hammer".

Contact the Altamont Chamber of Commerce for information on entering the parade.

The Rodeo Association Finals will take place from Thursday through Saturday, June 18-20, at the County Fairgrounds at Altamont.
