Two Clay County men have been sentenced to federal prison on methamphetamine charges.

44-year-old Kevin L. Brown of Flora was sentenced to 188 months (almost 16 years) in prison after pleading guilty to a count of conspiring to manufacture more than 50 grams of meth between May 2012 and November 10, 2014.

33-year-old Christopher S. Brown of Flora was sentenced to 97 months (more than eight years) in prison after pleading guilty to counts of conspiracy to manufacture meth and for possessing pseudoephedrine, which he knew would likely be used to manfacture meth. The offenses occurred between August 2012 and November 20, 2013.

The investigation in the cases was conducted by the Flora Police Department, the Clay County Sheriff's Department, and the Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force.
