Four people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Effingham Friday afternoon.

The crash occurred at Fayette and 4th at 3:30pm.  City police say a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Kodie Rodgers of Jewett entered the intersection and was struck by a vehicle driven by 55-year-old Betty Nuxoll of Effingham while also colliding with another vehicle driven by 77-year-old Gladys Fitzgerald of Effingham.

Fitzgerald and a passenger in Nuxoll's vehicle, 35-year-old Carrie Oliver of Effingham were injured and were taken by ambulance to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.  Rodgers and Nuxoll were also injured and were taken by private vehicle to St. Anthony's.

Rodgers was cited for disobeying a traffic control device.
