Effingham Firefighters Association Local #3084 is again coordinating the raising of funds to pay for this year's 4th of July fireworks display in the city.

The City of Effingham has pledged $15,000 toward the display, and other contributions could lead to the biggest display yet in Effingham.

There are various pledge levels: Skyrocket ($500+), Starburst ($250 to $499), Salute ($100 to $249), Shell ($50 to $99), and Spark (under $50).

Make checks payable to the Effingham Firefighters Association Local #3084. Donations can be deposited in a special account that has been set up at Washington Savings Bank or mailed directly to the Firefighters Association at PO Box 964, Effingham, IL 62401.

100% of the donations received are reserved for the fireworks display.

The display will be on Saturday night, July 4, at the Effingham High School athletic complex.
