Details In on Crash Involving Pickup Truck and Cycle

Information is available on a crash in Jasper County involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle.

The crash happened on Thursday, just after 4pm on Illinois 33, just west of Newton. Illinois State Police report a pickup truck driven by 57-year-old Gregory Rubsam of Newton crossed the centerline and collided head-on with the motorcycle ridden by 40-year-old David Dorn of Newton.

Rubsam and Dorn were both injured. Rubsam was taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham, while Dorn was airlifted to Carle Hospital in Urbana.

Police cited Rubsam for improper lane usage.
