Stew-Stras Alumni Annual Banquet

The Stewardson-Strasburg Alumni Association officers have received nominations for the awards to be presented at the annual banquet on May 23 at the Stewardson-Strasburg High School Gym. One award will be presented in the three categories: Outstanding Student Award, Distinguished Service Award and Outstanding Alumnus Award.

Outstanding Student Award nominees are Dylan Ohnesorge, Joel Schultz, Kaitlin Slifer, and Kendall Knop. The nominee for Distinguished Service Award is Don Oyer. The nominee for Outstanding Alumnus Award is Michael Debolt.

Tickets for the banquet are$10 in advance and $12 at the door and are available from Prairie National Bank, Stewardson, and Shelby County State Bank, Strasburg, until May 17. Social hour begins at 5 PM, dinner at 6 PM catered by Culver’s of Effingham, business meeting and award presentations will begin at 6:30 PM. Entertainment will begin at 7 PM with a skit written by the late Noberta Renshaw and directed by her daughter, Anita Renshaw. “Remote Control” is a zany skit with a long list cast of hilarious characters. Local alumni have received their scripts and will be ready to entertain you!
