Dieterich school board members reorganized at this week's meeting following the April election.

Dan Shadle, Thad Goebel, Cory Niebrugge and Doug Baxter were sworn in to new terms. Goebel and Shadle are new to the board, while Niebrugge and Baxter are beginning their second terms.

Mike Winters was elected board president, Cory Niebrugge vice-president, and Charity Bohnhoff secretary.

The Board presented plaques to retiring board members Danny Tague and Jason Poe for their four years of service.

Baxter was named the District's representative to the Eastern Illinois Area Special Education Board, with Thad Goebel serving as alternate.

Also this week, the Dieterich board approved an intergovernmental agreement with the Beecher City and Teutopolis school districts to share nursing services for the coming school year; and Ag instructor and FFA sponsor Garrett Helregel updated the Board on efforts to replace the greenhouse that was damaged beyond repair in a winter snowstorm. The Board plans to revisit the issue in June.

In personnel moves, the Dieterich board accepted resignations from Russ Sehy as junior high boys basketball coach, Emily Petty as Art teacher, and Lisa Bloemer as PE teacher. Hired were Dana Ruholl as a bus driver and Ashley Rentfro as high school assistant volleyball coach and junior high head volleyball coach.

Dan Shadle was named to represent Dieterich at the state school board convention this fall, with Charity Bohnhoff chosen as alternate.
