Lake Land College Seats New Board Officers

New Board officers were seated for one-year terms at a special Lake Land College Board of Trustees meeting Thursday.

Gary Cadwell of Mode was chosen board chairman to replace Mike Sullivan of Mattoon. Robert Luther of Mattoon replaced Cadwell as vice chairman. Dave Storm of Effingham replaced Luther as board secretary.

Additionally, Ann Deters of Effingham was seated as a member of the Board, succeeding Carl Hart of Shelbyville, who did not seek re-election.

Cadwell took time to honor outgoing chairman Sullivan for serving the last two years in that position. Sullivan has served on the Lake Land Board for 28 years. His current term on the Board ends in 2017.

"Understanding the rich history of Lake Land College is invaluable to the function of this board," Cadwell said. "Mike brings that history and knowledge with him in his service."
