Shed Burned Due to Brush Fire Near Lake

A shed was burned Friday afternoon due to a brush fire near Lake Sara.

Shumway firefighters were dispatched at 2:06pm to 14671 North Court Six, property owned by Louise Hartke. The fire quickly moved to ignite a 30X24 foot shed on property owned by Court Six Trust. The Hartke home was not affected by the fire.

Firefighters had the fire out by 3pm. Watson came to assist since the fire involved a structure.

Firefighters ask you to please keep a source of water handy when doing any burning.
