Deadline for Filing Economic Interest Forms is Friday

Effingham County Clerk Kerry Hirtzel has issued a reminder that the deadline to file Statement of Economic Interest forms with his office is this Friday, May 1.

Failure to file on or before May 1 shall result in a $15 late filing fee. Failure to file on or before May 15 shall result in a fine of $100 per day beginning May 16 to the date of filing, plus the $15 late filing fee. Failure to file on or before May 31 shall result in the forfeiture of the office or position of employment for which you are filing.
