Neoga Man Injured in Weekend Crash

A Neoga man was injured in a weekend crash.

21-year-old Tyler May was traveling on the Montrose Blacktop, a quarter-mile north of 1400th Avenue, in Effingham County when May lost control of the vehicle he was driving.

Effingham County Sheriff's Department reported the vehicle ran off the roadway to the left and traveled 360 feet, then came back across the roadway and off the right. The unit traveled another 120 feet, hit a ditch, and rolled into a field.

May was taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.

No citations were issued in the crash, which occurred at 6:04am Sunday.
