A 12-count federal grand jury indictment has been returned against Altamont native Stephen B. Mislich.

Mislich, who now lives in Bowling Green, Ohio, had earlier been indicted on four counts. The new indictment, returned April 7, charges one count of identity theft, five counts of extortion, three counts of harassment, two counts of producing child pornography, and one count of distributing child pornography.

The child pornography counts stem from the age of one of the people whose photos were allegedly obtained by Mislich and allegedly used by Mislich to obtain additional nude photos of other individuals. It's alleged that Mislich hacked into online accounts for the nude photos that reportedly led to attempts to harass and extort those who posted the photos into providing additional photos.

Mislich is set to stand trial on the counts on May 11 in Benton. A final pre-trial hearing on the pending motions is set for April 23. Mislich remains in custody.
