The Effingham Noon Rotary Club is wanting to make sure it doesn't fall behind the times, so is planning for the future.

Noon Rotarians heard an update from current Club President Lois Hoene and President-Elect Carrie Crippen on the findings of a visioning effort underway in the club. Several club members met earlier this year to identify strengths and any potential weaknesses in the club's operation, as well as considering what could be added or deleted to make the club more efficient and more attractive to potential members.

Club members also took time to congratulate long-time Noon Rotarian Jeff Bloemker, who was elected the next mayor of Effingham on Tuesday, and to commend Noon Rotarian Matt Hirtzel, who is retiring from the City Council after a term as commissioner.
