Sentencing is now set for May for a Jasper County man who pleaded guilty to sex charges.
51-year-old Charles Cisney of Hidalgo has pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. Cisney was charged with sexual actions involving a then 16-year-old male in the summer of 2013. He was arrested last July on counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault, but pleaded guilty to the lesser charges, which could still result in a prison sentence of three to seven years on each count.
Cisney posted bond on the charges and was released, then was again arrested last September for an alleged violation of the conditions of his bail. He has been held in Jasper County Jail in Newton since that time.
Cisney pleaded guilty to the sex abuse charges in December.
