Three vehicles collided south of Altamont Tuesday morning, injuring one person.
Effingham County Sheriff's Department reports the crash occurred at 7:50am on the Altamont Blacktop, about two miles south of Altamont.
Deputies say a vehicle driven by 16-year-old Thomas Caravello of Mason rear-ended a vehicle driven by 64-year-old Michael McGraw of Kinmundy. The impact caused Caravello's vehicle to cross the centerline and strike a unit driven by 35-year-old Timothy Beccue of Altamont that was waiting to turn onto the Altamont Blacktop.
Caravello was injured and was taken by private vehicle for treatment.
Deputies cited Caravello for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.
