Injuries resulted from a crash involving two vehicles on US 40 over the weekend.

The crash occurred at 9:28pm Friday, just west of the "S" curves, west of Effingham.

According to Effingham County Sheriff's Department, a vehicle driven by 70-year-old Barbara Jenkins of Altamont crossed the center line, striking a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Kaitlyn Kershaw of Vandalia. Deputies say the impact caused the Jenkins vehicle to spin and roll onto its top.

Jenkins was injured and was taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment. Kershaw and her passenger, 16-year-old Sarah Bigelow of Vandalia, were both injured, but declined treatment.

Jenkins was ticketed in the crash.
