Police Investigating Two Burglaries from Vehicles

Effingham city police are investigating two burglaries from vehicles.

One incident involved a vehicle owned by Barbara Decker of Effingham while parked at 120 West Jefferson Friday between 2:10pm and 2:20pm. A wallet was stolen, along with a driver's license, a debit card and an undetermined amount of cash.

The other incident involved a vehicle owned by Dan Hecht Chevrolet-Toyota while the vehicle was parked at 1701 West Evergreen Saturday between 2pm and 6:37pm. Stolen items, owned by Randall Malone of Effingham, included a suitcase containing various articles of clothing, as well as a razor.

Police say the passenger window, valued at $100, was damaged during the incident.
