No one was injured when a garbage truck overturned along Moccasin Road Wednesday afternoon.

The incident at 12:36pm just west of Jade Street near Lake Sara. The Effingham County Sheriff's Department reports the garbage truck was driven by 44-year-old Bradley McEndollar of Farina. Deputies say the eastbound vehicle began to veer left and it ran off the roadway to the north. The unit struck a culvert and embankment, causing it to overturn. The truck came to rest on the driver's side in the north ditch.

The truck was loaded, requiring two large wreckers to get it back upright. The Effingham County Highway Department was called to wash a quantity of mud from the crash off the roadway.

No citations were issued.
