Residential Burglary Investigated in City

Effingham city police are investigating a residential burglary that occurred Monday morning.
The incident occurred sometime between 8:45 and 11:40am in the 200 block of Wabash Avenue. Police say two televisions were stolen, along with two electric guitars, a Nintendo DSi, a Playstation 4, and a Kindle Fire.
Police are also investigating the theft of two chairs from the front of a business located at 401 West National, and criminal damage to a vehicle in the 600 block of East Temple in which a battery was stolen by cutting the battery wiring.
