Two Crashes w/Injuries in Effingham Wednesday

Two crashes resulting in injuries occurred in Effingham on Wednesday.
One crash occurred south of the intersection of Banker and Wabash at 11am. City police say a vehicle driven by 50-year-old Susan Moore of Xenia pulled in front of, and was struck by, a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Amy Meeks of Louisville.
Both drivers were injured and were taken by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
Moore was cited for failure to yield.

The other crash occurred at 8:58pm on Salt Creek Hill on US 40. Police say a vehicle driven by 63-year-old Linda P. Campbell of Teutopolis ran off the roadway and struck a tree and ditch before crossing over the roadway and striking the ditch on the opposite side.
Campbell was injured and was taken by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
No citations were issued.
