The Village of Teutopolis is asking that all village residents that would be affected by a project to replace the cast iron water lines in town to return a survey they received concerning the project.
The Village is hopeful of getting grant funds to help cover the cost of the $2 million project. The information received on the surveys would help in obtaining the grant funding.
The deadline to turn in the surveys is this Monday, March 9.
The Village board met this week and purchased two new vehicles, a pickup truck for the administration department from Schmidt Chevrolet of Mt. Vernon, the low bidder, for $19,885, and a squad car for the police department from Miles Chevrolet of Decatur for a low bid of $25,987.
