Strasburg Teenager Injured in Crash

A Strasburg teenager was injured in a crash Sunday night in Effingham County.

The Effingham County Sheriff's Department reports the crash happened at 8:45pm Sunday on Moccasin Road, just east of 400th Street. Deputies say a car driven by 16-year-old Nikita Burry of Strasburg hit some ice on the roadway and skidded out of control. The vehicle ran off the roadway and struck the ditch. The unit rolled over, coming to rest on its side. 

Burry was injured and was taken by private vehicle to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment. No tickets were issued.
