Fire Destroys Shed North of Teutopolis

Fire destroyed a shed north of Teutopolis Sunday afternoon.

Teutopolis firefighters were called to the property at 17181 East 1700th Avenue at 2:15pm. The name of the owner was not released.

Crews arrived on scene to find the shed fully engulfed in flames. The shed and its contents are a total loss. 

Firefighters from Montrose and Sigel fire departments provided Teutopolis firefighters mutual aid with tankers, as hydrants are not available as a water source in the area of the fire. 

Firefighters were on scene for 2-1/2 hours. No one was injured fighting the fire.
