Two Drivers Injured in Collision North of Effingham

Both drivers were injured when vehicles collided Wednesday morning on US 45, north of 1900th Avenue.

Effingham County sheriff's deputies say the crash occurred at 7:55am when 18-year-old Bailey Platz of Sigel lost control of her vehicle. The Platz vehicle crossed the centerline into the path of a vehicle driven by 65-year-old David Pharb of Effingham and the units collided.

Platz and Pharb were both taken for treatment to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham. No citations were injured.
