Local Man Found Dead

A local man was found dead Tuesday, but no foul play is suspected.

Dead is 36-year-old Rudy Aye of Effingham.

A 911 call was received at 10:01am Tuesday in regards to an unresponsive man on North 1600th Avenue in the Lake Sara area. Effingham County Sheriff's Department and Effingham City-County Ambulance Service responded. Effingham County Coroner Duane Guffey was notified at 10:15am and pronounced Aye dead at 10:47am.

A release from the Coroner's office indicated no foul play is suspected and an autopsy will not be performed.

The investigation continues by the Effingham County Sheriff's Department and the Effingham County Coroner's Office.
