Effingham County resident Scott Huelsing has been selected as a winner in America's Farmers Grow Communities, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund.

The program enrolls farmers for a chance to win $2,500, which is then donated to the farmer's non-profit of choice. Huelsing selected Teutopolis High School to receive the donation.

America's Farmers Grow Communities launched in 2010 and has grown to include 1,324 eligible counties in 40 states. Sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, the program is part of the America's Farmers initiative, which highlights the important contributions farmers make every day.
