Cowden-Herrick Board Sets Graduation Date

Cowden-Herrick school board members Thursday scheduled this year's high school graduation ceremony for Sunday, May 17 at 3pm.

The Board hired Jodi Boys as a third year teacher, and granted tenured teacher status to Marc Bain and Kelsey Mayfield, then rehired the remainder of the certified staff. It was also voted to annex the Cowden-Herrick school property into the Village of Cowden. The annexation was requested by the Village Board, and they are expected to vote on the matter at their next meeting.

Cowden-Herrick board members voted to accept bids on mowing district property, tabled an award of a bid to resurface the high school gym floor, and approved an updated, State-recommended bullying policy to include a provision concerning cyberbullying.
