One Person Injured in Collision Outside Teutopolis

Two cars collided a mile southeast of Teutopolis Tuesday afternoon, injuring one driver.
The crash happened at 4:54pm at 1400th Avenue and 1950th Street. Effingham County sheriff's deputies report a vehicle driven by 73-year-old Doris J. Deters of Teutopolis was stopped at the intersection and then pulled into the intersection, where Deters' vehicle was struck by a vehicle driven by 16-year-old Matthew Goedde of Teutopolis. Both vehicles ended up in a ditch, and Deters' vehicle struck a Frontier Communications pedestal.
Deters was injured and was taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.
