Altamont school board members Monday set the date for high school graduation as Saturday night, May 16 at 7pm. The Board discussed next year's school calendar, but reached no decision.

The Board approved intergovernmental agreements for alternative education programs through the Regional Office of Education, approved a maternity leave for Jenna Murray, and approved employment of Stephanie DuPlayee as district nurse for next school year.

Altamont board members approved a guaranteed energy savings contract with GRP Mechanical pending a health life safety request before the State Board of Education, heard that pre-school screening is scheduled for September 26-27, and received an update on the proposed Construction Trades class for next school year. The Board was reminded of a Technology Open House with the Regional Office of Education on Saturday, February 28, heard that PARCC testing will begin on Monday, March 9, and was updated on the senior class trip to Washington, DC March 19-23.

The Board approved a track resurfacing bid for just under $50,000, voted to not make a donation to Altamont Youth Sports Commission, employed Megan Burrus as high school softball coach for this spring, and accepted the resignation of Title I teacher Carolyn Anderson as of the end of the school year.
