Teutopolis School Board Approves Next Year's Calendar, Tentatively Sets End of Year Dates

Teutopolis school board members Monday approved the 2015-16 school calendar.

School will begin on Monday, August 17 with a Teachers Institute, a half-day for students will be Tuesday, August 18 and the first full day for students will be Wednesday, August 19.

The Board tentatively set graduation and promotion dates; high school graduation on Sunday, May 17 at 2:30pm, and 8th grade promotion on Monday, May 18.

Teutopolis board accepted the resignation of Connie Deters as high school assistant cross country coach; and accepted retirements from Kent Probst at the end of the 2016-17 school year and Linda Kalika at the end of the 2017-18 school year. It was also agreed to advertise the open positions. The Board also approved a senior class trip to Chicago; agreed to continue alternative education programs through the Regional Office of Education; approved a contract with Consolidated Communications for additional internet service for five years beginning July 1; and discussed employee health insurance.
