The Lake Land College Board of Trustees has terminated the employment of two college employees at Robinson Correctional Center.

The Board in a special meeting Friday afternoon voted to dismiss Alice Holtzhouser, who was the Associate Dean of Correctional Programs at the Robinson prison, and Pamela Murphy, who was a horticulture instructor at the prison. The terminations of employment were effective immediately. Brandon Young, who is Dean of Correctional Programs for the southern portion of the Lake Land district, will take over administrative duties at the correctional center in the interim, but college officials indicated that replacements will be sought for the positions.

No information was publicly released as to why the actions were taken.

The Lake Land Board separately Friday voted to honorably dismiss Ron Warner as an Illinois Department of Corrections employee at Vandalia Correctional Center. That reduction-in-force is effective at the end of the 2014-15 academic year.
