Crash w/Injuries at Fayette and Maple Thursday

Injuries resulted from a crash at Fayette and Maple just after 3:30pm Thursday.

City police say a vehicle driven by 43-year-old Sharon Bowlin of Effingham struck a vehicle driven by 86-year-old Orville Kibler of Newton. Both Kibler and his passenger 85-year-old Mabel Kibler of Newton were injured, but both declined treatment. A passenger in Bowlin's vehicle, 46-year-old Shannon Campbell of Effingham was injured and was taken by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.

Police cited Bowlin for disobeying a traffic control device.
