Concealed Carry Application Process Smooth in Illinois

The application process for concealed carry permits in Illinois is going smoothly after one full year of the process.

The Illinois State Police report that during 2014, there were 327 active applications in Effingham County, and just two applications were denied. Meanwhile, just one has been revoked.

As far as area counties, there were 166 applications active in Clay County, with four denied and none revoked; 160 applications active in Cumberland County, with three denied and none revoked; 249 active applications in Fayette County, with none denied and none revoked; 152 active applications in Jasper County, with one denied and none revoked; and 271 active applications in Shelby County, with one denied and none revoked.
