Altamont Man Found Dead; No Foul Play Suspected

Authorities are investigating the death of an Altamont man, but no foul play is suspected.

The man was identified as 31-year-old Timothy Campe. 911 dispatch received a call at 4:10pm Sunday regarding an unresponsive man in rural Altamont. Effingham City-County Ambulance Service and the Altamont Fire Department responded. Campe was taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham where he was pronounced dead at 4:56pm. 

An autopsy will be conducted Monday afternoon.

An investigation continues by the Effingham County Sheriff's Department and the Effingham County Coroner's Office.
