Governor-elect Bruce Rauner's transition team didn't tell him anything he didn't know, and didn't provide any recommendations for solving the state's problems.

The report from the bi-partisan transition group said the state's dire financial situation is the most pressing problem Rauner will face and says Rauner's other ambitions can't be achieved if the budget isn't stabilized.

The report says the budget fix will require a combination of budget cuts and new revenues, but doesn't suggest what those cuts or revenues might be.
