(JACK FLASH EMPLOYEE JOHN HERRMANN IS SEEN HELPING WITH THE CLEANUP AFTER A TRUCK DROVE INTO THE FRONT OF THE STORE FRIDAY MORNING)

A pickup truck knocked out some of the front windows at Jack Flash convenience store on Keller Drive Friday morning.

Roth Niemerg of Altamont said he was getting out of his vehicle after parking in front of the store about 9am, and left the truck's engine running in such cold weather. However, the truck wasn't in park and traveled forward. Niemerg said he got back into the vehicle and got it put in park, but not before it ran into the front of the building, shattering the windows.

Employees at Jack Flash went to work cleaning up the shattered glass while plywood was brought to the scene to close up the gap that allowed the wind to howl into the store. The store is open for business, though.

Niemerg said he was not injured and his truck suffered some scratches, but no other damage.
