Four members of a Nashville, Illinois family were killed in the crash of a small plane Friday evening. A young girl survived the crash.

Kentucky State Police say those killed have been identified as 49-year-old Marty Gutzler, 45-year-old Kimberly Gutzler, their daughter, nine-year-old Piper Gutzler, and her cousin, 14-year-old Sierra Wilder. All four were from Nashville.

Police say the name of a seven-year-old girl who walked away from the wreckage is being withheld at the request of family.

FAA authorities say the small Piper PA-34 reported engine trouble and lost contact with air traffic controllers as it was flying over the southwestern part of Kentucky about 5:55pm. The plane was enroute from Key West, Florida to Mt. Vernon's Outland Airport.

Kentucky State Police Sgt. Dean Patterson said about a half hour later, a Lyon County, Kentucky, resident called 911 and told dispatchers that a seven-year-old girl had walked to his home and said she had been involved in a plane crash.
