As the clock struck midnight Wednesday night, the Quinn administration missed its self-imposed deadline for deciding who gets the state licenses to sell and grow medical marijuana.

The State offered no explanation for missing their target and some observers say the decisions will be announced within a few days.

The State got 159 applications for the 21 cultivation center licenses and 214 applications for the 60 pot dispensary licenses.
