Monday night marked one last night of commemorating the 175th anniversary of the Village of Teutopolis with an announcement that two helping agencies will receive considerable funding from revenue generated by the celebration.

A reception was held at the Teutopolis Knights of Columbus Hall, where it was announced that the Terquasquicentennial generated $150,000 for the Teutopolis Education Foundation and another $60,000 for the Teutopolis Park District.

In addition to those charitable contributions, the organizers of the 175th anniversary celebration are bankrolling another $25,000 toward the anticipated cost of the village's 200th birthday celebration in 2039.
