Three Hopefuls Running for Lake Land Board

There are three candidates running for two seats on the Lake Land College Board of Trustees.

Incumbent Gary Cadwell from Mode and challenger Gregory Yount of Mattoon filed when the filing period opened on December 15, while Ann Schultz Deters of Effingham filed later in the week. The filing deadline was Monday at 5pm.

A lottery was held Tuesday to determine the top spot on the ballot, with Cadwell earning the top spot and Yount second, followed by Deters. The filing period ended at 5pm Monday.

The seats on the Board up for grabs are now held by Cadwell and by Carl Hart of Shelbyville, who is not seeking re-election.
