UPDATE: The Amber Alert for two Southern Illinois girls missing from Marion has been canceled

An Amber Alert has been issued for two Southern Illinois children from Marion. Corbyn Erwin, 9 and Celsie Erwin, 7, were taken by their stepfather, Damon H. Jones without permission and did not show up for school this morning. Police say Jones is driving a white Dodge van with a temporary Illinois license of 823R204.

ON DECEMBER 14 2014 AT 9:48 PM DAMON H. JONES TOOK HIS STEP CHILDREN WITHOUT PERMISSION AND HAS CONCEALED THERE LOCATION SINCE THEN. DAMON IS MALE WHITE, 5 FEET 9 INCHES, 185 POUNDS, GREEN EYES AND BROWN HAIR. THE CHILDREN DID NOT REPORT TO SCHOOL TODAY. STEP FATHER, DAMON JONES, IS A KNOWN DRUG ABUSER. THE CHILDREN ARE CORBYN E. ERWIN 9 YEARS OLD, 4 FEET 8 INCHES, 80 POUNDS, BROWN EYES AND BROWN HAIR, THE OTHER CHILD IS CELSIE L. ERWIN, 7 YEARS OLD, 4 FEET 2 INCHES, 60 POUNDS, HAZEL EYES, BROWN HAIR.
