The Effingham City Plan Commission Tuesday voted to recommend the City Council approve two requests for vacation of rights-of-way.

One request from Stanley and Phyllis Aylene Bahrns is to vacate a portion of Park Street lying south of an east/west alley lying south of Kagay Avenue. Bahrns plans to add a warehouse east of their main building, and it would be located on the property in question.

The other request was from Ed Grunloh for E.L. Holdings LLC. The request involves a street and alley in Sur Subdivision. The street and alley are not now in use and run along the area where the former Cliff Grunloh family home was located off North 3rd Street.
