Two more individuals have taken out petitions for a seat on the Effingham City Council.
The two are Junior Willis and Ben Siemer.
A reminder that taking out a petition doesn't mean someone is running for office; they could be seeking signatures on petitions for someone else or might be considering a run, but haven't reached a decision.
Others who have pulled a petition are Michael Williamson, Bob Reardon, Kevin Willis, Merv Gillenwater, Brian Milleville, Don Althoff, Larry Micenheimer, Jeff Bloemker, Dave Campbell and Patty Russell.
Bloemker has announced he'd be filing for mayor, while Gillenwater, the current mayor, has announced he plans to seek a term as commissioner, a seat he held before being elected mayor.
The filing period begins on Monday, December 15 and runs through December 22.
