Check Presentation to Benefit Roses from Linda During Hodges' Appearance on "Steve Harvey Show"

We told you last week that Effingham native T.J. Hodges will be featured on this Wednesday's episode of "The Steve Harvey Show".

What we didn't know is that Steve Harvey presented a check for $5,000 to Roses from Linda during the taping of the episode. Shown in this photo are program host Steve Harvey (CENTER) and T.J. Hodges, immediately to Harvey's right, along with many people who have benefited from Roses from Linda or are helping with the organization.

Roses from Linda is an organization established by Hodges after his family experienced the frustration of not getting to spend time with his mother during the last weeks of her fatal illness. The organization arranges transportation so loved ones won't miss out on chances to be with their family members as the end draws near. The episode shows how organizers surprised Hodges and recognized him on the show for his efforts to establish the organization.
