Crash With Injuries in Cumberland County

Two people were injured in a crash in Cumberland County over the weekend.

The crash occurred at 8:11pm Friday in a rural area. State police say a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Shelby Bass of Sullivan disobeyed a stop sign and collided with a vehicle driven by 58-year-old Gary Whitaker of Montrose.

Gary Whitaker and his passenger, 56-year-old Peggy Whitaker of Montrose, were injured and were taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.

Bass was cited for disobeying a traffic control device.
