Republican Bruce Rauner is thanking Governor Quinn for his service to the people of Illinois.

Rauner unseated Quinn in Tuesday's election, but Quinn had refused to throw in the towel until all the votes were counted. It took less than 24 hours for Quinn to realize he couldn't pull out a victory, so he conceded the race.

Quinn will be in office until January. He says he'll push for a minimum wage hike before his time is up.
