Two people were injured in a crash just before 10am Saturday at Fayette and Maple.

City police report a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Stephanie Ely of Effingham turned into the path of, and collided with, a vehicle driven by 88-year-old Dean Grissom of Montrose.

Ely and a passenger in Grissom's vehicle, 84-year-old Ruth Grissom of Montrose, were both injured. Ely refused treatment, but Grissom was taken by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Ely was cited for failure to yield.
